DAY 4 | Thyatira and the Armour of God

How are your studies going?  Are you having good conversations with the LORD?  Are you checking your own heart?  Remember this boot camp is first to get our own heart ready for the coming of our Bridegroom, Jesus Christ the only begotten Son of the Father.  

One of the things that is standing out from Revelation 2 and 3 is that the LORD says this over and over:  "I know thy works"  Note to self:  the LORD is watching us...for some of us our works are pleasing to him, and for some of us he says the the words "Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee..."  

If we love the LORD and endeavour to walk in his ways, this statement should really prick our ears.  "What? Lord...I'm listening...I want to do things your way...I want to have a heart to obey you"  Right? Remember back in lesson #13 we talked about humility of mind?  When Jesus is speaking to the churches in these 2 chapters of Revelation...he says each time.. "He that hath an ear let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches" and "he that overcometh will I .."

We must be humble to hear what the LORD is saying and obedient to the correction

• So what did the LORD have against the church at Thyatira?  Read Revelation 2:20
• Who was Jezebel? Read I Kings 18 and 21 
• Why did the LORD bring the children of Israel out of Egypt? Exodus 7:16 - 10:3

Of the 36 times that "fornication" is used in the Bible -- only 4 verses are in the Old Testament.  Which means this is a problem in the New Testament church and it MUST BE dealt with and root out!!  

Now let's go over to Ephesians chapter 6 beginning with verse 10 and read through the end of the chapter.

• After our own heart check before the Father...what is our purpose in these last days?
