Day2Day

Well, hello there!  I enjoy keeping my hands busy.  I must admit, it is not so difficult to sit still as it is difficult to sit and do nothing.  I can sit in one spot for hours doing handwork, reading, journaling, studying, blogging, or talking.

On this page you'll get to see a little bit of my Day2Day.  You are welcome to comment and join in our 'show-n-tell'.  You can also follow me on Instagram @Mama8Hawks  and  Pinterest @helloimCristina  or Twitter @hedgehogtribe  [I know, I've got to have consistency with my name handles.  That's coming soon]

16. August. 2015 --  UPDATE: Hazel and Basil Etsy shop -- we have postponed the opening of our little shop due to illness in my husband's family.  Extra time has been spent caring for those involved, as you can understand, we wouldn't be able to maintain our little shop and be available for you.  We appreciate your prayers.

I'm so thankful to the ladies who post great DIY videos!  @happiescrappie shows how to make your own version of a Midori Traveler's Notebook.  The do-it-yourself version is typically called a "Fauxdori".
I love that Sam makes her own version and calls it "HappieDori"

I made the cover following Sam's instructions and even made the notebook inserts following SeaLemon's bookbinding techniques.

The pencil-wrap is my version of a make-up brush pouch that I came up with after looking at many on Pinterest.  It's pretty simple to make and fun to have handy!!

Enjoy Sam's #HappieDori video.  Thank you, Sam!! check out her channel, too!

Photos of my first book binding project!  It turned out pretty nice.  Since this first post, I've bound 7 books.

If you are a DIYer, then you'll enjoy this YouTube gal: SeaLemon.  She seems to know a lot about a lot!  Helpful, well done, and enjoyable videos!  Thank you, SeaLemon for all your hard work and sharing with us!!

List of supplies I used:  printed book or journal pages, pencil, tiny hole punch, ruler, and string.
