Hello Dear Reader,
I'm glad you stopped by today!
This is a little how-to post on bookbinding. I love books! I love to read! And my favorite books are those that encourage me to walk closer with the Almighty God and books that show me how to make our house a home. I have a Kindle and I have an iPad; yet, I prefer to read my books the old fashioned way..hardcopy..paper.
In the previous post I shared that I am beginning a new study. If you'd like to join me, you can download the PDF eBook here and freely print it. (it's public domain)
Hence the bookbinding How-To post.
TOOLS NEEDED: Pencil. Ruler. Mini-Hole Punch (I purchased mine at Hobby Lobby for $3.99) Cotton Thread, and a Needle.
Since I've never bound a book, I looked it up on YouTube and found SeaLemon's channel. (So much great and helpful craft info) I found and watched this video on pretty book binding.
If you're in a time crunch or just not in the mood to do-it-yourself, grab a loose-leaf binder, a 3-hole punch, and you're set. (this works great if you're like me and like to write in your books)

I marked the holes to punch 1/4" from the edge on the yellow sheet and used that as my template. Then punched 6-7 sheets at time. Stacked the sheets. Watched and followed the bookbinding video . . .

All done! (It was a rather simple process.)
The book came out so nice that I'm going to make some to give away.
And now we're ready to jump right into this study. As I mentioned above, I like to write in my books. I highlight sentences that speak to me. I cross reference with the Bible and make notes. If you want, you could grab a blank notebook to keep your notes, or some notebook paper and add the pages to your 3-ring binder.
I really like to study the Word of God...can you tell I'm excited for this?
Have a wonderful day, dear Reader! Remember to read your Bible and ask the LORD to open your eyes to what He has written.
Until next time,
~Cristina
